HIGH FIVE: Preschool for four-year-olds

WHAT STUDENTS LEARN: High Five is a time children learn school skills to get ready for kindergarten. School skills we learn in High Five:

Math Skills:

  • Identity 4 basic shapes
  • Identify 8 basic colors.
  • Be able to count to 31.
  • Be able to recognize numbers 0-10.
  • Be able to count objects accurately.
  • Be able to identify and continue a simple pattern.

Literacy Skills:

  • Copy and print first name.
  • Be able to listen to a story.
  • Be able to answer questions about a story.
  • Recognize and identify upper and lower case letters.
  • Be familiar with sounds of letters.
  • Be familiar with rhymes.
  • Show growth in vocabulary.
  • Identify and name parts of the body.
